Before meeting Mark, our one-year-old dog Teddy was extremely reactive barking uncontrollably whenever someone came to the door or entered our home. It was stressful and difficult to manage especially when friends of our kids would visit. Remarkably, after just one session with Mark at our house, the barking stopped completely. Mark also helped us tackle Teddy’s leash-pulling during walks, which had been another ongoing challenge. His deep understanding of dog behaviour and his ability to clearly explain the reasons behind a dog’s actions made a huge difference. Mark doesn’t just train dogs he empowers owners with the knowledge they need to build a better relationship with their pets. We’re incredibly grateful for Mark’s help and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled, insightful, and effective dog trainer.

We have a 2 year old Bernese mountain dog who became very aggressive to strangers coming into the house. We had to remove him before anyone came in because we knew he’d end up biting someone. It’s difficult to get a trainer to come for aggressive dogs but Mark came and stopped the behaviour in one session. We couldn’t believe it! He explained that although the behaviour looked aggressive, the dog was acting out of fear. Mark showed us how to ensure the behaviour remained stopped and we haven’t looked back. We thought we would have to get rid of the dog, but the dog is actually happier now he doesn’t feel he has to act this way.

Herbie is our adult Golden Cocker spaniel who we adopted from the NWSPCA shelter. He was fine for a couple of weeks then started suddenly showing aggression to my children at certain times. We spoke to the shelter and knew that he’d been rehomed a number of times for the same thing, but we really wanted to keep him. I knew of Mark because he had previously worked with my mums dog, so I gave him a call. Mark came and made an assessment in a few minutes, then started to work the dog. He said the dog was basically a good dog, but had learned somewhere along the way if he showed aggression, he got his own way. Mark fixed this very easily and also gave us the confidence to manage it going forward. This man is very gifted and has a great way with dogs. Not expensive either.

Initially I tried to book Mark, but he told me it would be a couple of weeks. I bought his book and managed to train my own dog from it. I’ve read dozens of dog training books, but this one is brilliant. It starts off by giving you insight into how the dog thinks. Then the book is split in 2 parts. Training new behaviours and stopping problem behaviours. Highly recommended.

My sister had booked another trainer, paid 300 euros upfront and was tied into multiple sessions. Cost 600 in total and the dog was no better. I booked Mark for my Cockapoo (Bailey) who had us demented. He was snappy, nipped us for attention or when he didn’t get his way and jumped all over everyone and didn’t pay attention. He also pulled constantly on the lead. Mark came and looked at the dog for maybe 5 mins. He then explained that you can’t train any dog without his attention. He then proceeded to get his attention immediately. First he stopped the jumping up in minutes. The same technique also stops nipping and he stopped that too. Then we went walking and he also stopped the dog pulling in 15 mins. I couldn’t believe it. He explained everything and showed us how to ensure the problems stayed stopped and warned us that the next couple of days were crucial because the dog would test us as we’d allowed him to get away with the behaviours for so long. He prepared us fully and we haven’t looked back. He did a second session on recall the follow week and I was able to let the dog off and he came back. 2 sessions and everything sorted. Mark also gave us a collar to use and advised on leads and nutrition. Brilliant and not expensive at all.

Brilliant trainer and no messing about. Cuts to the chase and does the job. He comes to you because he believes you need to fix the problems in the dog’s environment.

I show golden retrievers all over the country and usually train my own dogs, but I had one dog who was so excitable his behaviour was ruining his chances in the show ring. I contacted Mark and he showed me a technique for instantly calming the dog that’s so simple but absolutely brilliant. This man understands dogs like few others. His book is brilliant too.

I have a collie that’s nervous. When walking her she was pulling me towards the traffic. Mark came and firstly walked her on his own and the dog walked perfectly. He then asked me to walk her and he watched from a distance. Sure enough the dog started pulling me towards the cars. He stopped me and explained the dog was picking up on my own nervousness and trying to protect me by getting in between me and the cars. I was flabbergasted. He then took the dog again and she walked perfectly without even looking at a car. The problem was me. Mark gave me the confidence I needed to walk her without fear and we haven’t looked back since.

If like me you’ve read hundreds of dog books and found most are useless, read this one. It’s brilliant, especially if you’ve seen Mark working a dog.

I have a dominant German Shepherd who had many problems. He was very aggressive with other dogs, jumped up a lot and he’s huge, chased cars, bicycles anything that moved. We live on a farm and he’d go for the cows and he bit the horses tail. I bought the dog to go walking and I couldn’t hold him as he pulled so hard. I can’t thank Mark enough. He turned Jack into a great dog and fixed all these problems. It took I think 6 sessions in all, but the dog is such a pleasure to have now. Highly recommended.
